JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
-
Responsible for the overall maintenance and functionality of SamFit facilities and equipment, as well as customer and sales support. Under the direction of department leadership and in collaboration with team members, ensures the quality, safety, and effectiveness of SamFit fitness programs, services, and events. Supports facility-wide efforts to promote fitness throughout the SHS region and upholds the highest standards of quality and service excellence.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

SamFit is a network of Samaritan Health Services (SHS) fitness centers dedicated to delivering accessible, community-focused fitness services throughout the SHS region. The SamFit team supports member well-being through a wide array of services, including group fitness classes, personal training, and 24/7 access to modern equipment and facilities. With a strong emphasis on member experience, SamFit plays an essential role in promoting healthy, active lifestyles across the communities SHS serves.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
-
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire.
-
NCCA certification in personal training, group fitness instruction, or a related area required upon hire.
-
Two (2) years of experience in personal training, group fitness instruction, or a related area required.
-
One (1) year of customer service, sales, and/or marketing experience required.
-
Experience in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and Outlook, required.

Ability to onboard and train multi-disciplinary team members on departmental operations, processes and electronic charting and tracking system. Ability to evaluate information to determine compliance with laws, regulations, or standards. Use knowledge and judgment skills to determine whether events or processes comply.
