Summary/objective

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows cleaning and safety standards, and contributes to a positive experience for employees and visitors.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

• Clean & disinfect restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces
• Deep Cleaning (Top to Bottom)
• Dusting of vents, fans, registers, light fixtures
• Clean glass entrance doors and remove all fingerprints
• Clean and wipe down front entryway
• Disinfect and wipe down all door frames, doors and handles
• Dust and wipe down tables, chairs, & vending machines
• Clean counter tops, food stations, counter, microwaves, equipment and refrigerators
• Cleaning front of all cabinets
• Clean and disinfect switch plates
• Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap and toilet paper
• Perform routine cleaning tasks according to a schedule
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
• Follow health, safety, and cleaning procedures
• Lock/unlock doors and secure building if required

Monthly Services

• Dust desks, filing cabinets, tables, furniture and baseboards
• Clean and wipe down windowsills, door frames, and pictures on an as needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred (but not required)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to (40) pounds
• Due to travel between job sites, candidates must have reliable personal transportation

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear and sit. The associate is occasionally required to stoop, push, pull, feel and grasp with hands and arms.
• The associate must exert up to 5 pounds of force occasionally and/or a light amount of force frequently to carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to bring objects into sharp focus.
• May be required to lift up to 40lbs
