Sanitation Manager at Futures Consulting – Tampa, Florida

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage multi-plant sanitation operations at food processing plants.
• Act as third shift ‘manager in charge’ for all operations, safety and human resources functions.
• Develop and implement strategic, best practices sanitation programs ensuring compliance with Company and
• USDA requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment, enforce all PPE and safety standards. Train and develop staff in these practices.
• Participate (and contribute) to plant audits on safety, quality and sanitation.
• Develop staffing and deployment plans for Sanitation team members.
• Develop and implement metrics to evaluate Sanitation department performance.
• Monitor team member performance ensuring that plants pass all pre-operation inspections and start on time.
• During sanitation, examines equipment and makes recommendations regarding preventing damage and focused on prevention.
• Manages chemical usage and inventory and makes recommendations for improvement.
• Participates in plant safety ‘walkthroughs’ and makes recommendations to improve plant safety.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Seven (7) plus years sanitation experience, with a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience.
• Previous experience in food processing, preferred.
• Multi-plant/site experience preferred.
