Quality Control Technician at Beaver Steel Services Inc – Carnegie, Pennsylvania

Beaver Steel Services is looking for a Quality Control Technician. The quality control technician is responsible for the inspection and testing of manufacturing processes and products to ensure the product quality. The quality control technician will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment and methods, processes, and products, ensuring proper procedures are being followed and documented to maintain product quality and records traceability. The quality control technician will also assist to ensure nonconforming product is appropriately identified and removed from the production flow until such product can be dispositioned.

Key Attributes:

Ability to read blueprints.

Basic shop math

Understanding of GD&T

Understanding of weld symbols

Ability to measure parts with Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gage, Thread Gages etc.

Attention to detail.

Prepare 8D, PPAP and FAI Reports

Preferred but not required:

Some background in Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing.

Root cause analysis (5 Why, Ishikawa diagram etc.)

SPC (Statistical Process Control)

5S (Maintaining Organization)

Pay range based on experience.
