GPR Locator at Vero HDD LLC – Austin, Texas

VeroHDD is looking for an experienced GPR Locator to join our Telecom construction team near Austin, TX in Bastrop county.

Qualified GPR Locators must be self motivated and able to direct Telecom Construction crews safely around underground utilities. Identify and mark the location of subsurface utilities using specialized equipment to ensure safe Telecom construction projects. You will be required to work with some non-English speaking crews and may need to use Google Translate (or other translating tool) to communicate effectively. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the success of our drilling efforts on new construction projects in Bastrop County, TX.

• Company truck and locating equipment will be provided.
• Hourly pay range of $20 - $24 per hour.
• Following a 90-day introductory period, Locators are eligible to earn a 5 cent per foot production bonus.

• Must be able to read and understand construction maps.
• Must have a track record of consistent follow through.
• Must be aware of and able to follow necessary safety protocols.
• 3 to 5 years of prior GPR locating experience in the field is preferred.
• Must be familiar with the Telecom Construction industry and associated processes, machinery, and tools.
• Must be able to interpret and analyze GPR data to generate detailed reports and drawings.
• Must be able to work with and help guide bi-lingual Telecom construction teams safely around underground utilities.
• Passing grade in an accredited GPR Locator course preferred.
