Job Description

Dental Supervisor – Join Our Mission-Driven Team!

Are you a passionate dental professional with leadership experience and a commitment to quality care? We’re seeking a Dental Supervisor to oversee operations across multiple locations at SHCC, ensuring excellence in patient care, staff performance, and departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise dental operations across all SHCC sites.
  • Collaborate with the Dental Director and Director of Administrative and Service Line Operations on purchasing, contracts, and strategic planning.
  • Support clinical operations by filling in as a Dental Assistant when needed.
  • Monitor and improve financial, operational, and clinical performance.
  • Develop training programs with Training Coordinator
  • Develop performance standards and orientation schedules for Dental Assistants and Trainees.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office Team to ensure optimal patient scheduling and experience
  • Oversee inventory, equipment maintenance, and credentialing processes.
  • Manage staffing, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a dental practice.
  • Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) DANB Certification.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dental billing/coding.

Preferred:

  • EFDA certification or Dental Hygienist degree.
  • Experience in public health, FQHCs, or multi-provider settings.
  • Bilingual language skills.
  • Certified Dental Assistant or NELDA certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic dental records and practice management systems.
