The Orthopedic Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides skilled nursing care and clinical support to orthopedic providers in an outpatient clinic setting. This role is responsible for patient assessment, care coordination, clinical procedures, and patient education related to musculoskeletal conditions and treatments. The LPN collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and ancillary staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:LPN Required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, clinical assessment, and patient education.
• Previous experience in orthopedics, surgery, or an outpatient clinic setting.
• Experience with orthopedic procedures, injections, casting, or post-operative care. -
RN Required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

• Experience with orthopedic procedures, injections, casting, or post-operative care.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have knowledge of the following: current clinical practices commonly implemented by the family practice nurse, medical terminology, Service Organization and office policies and procedures, all technical equipment used, use of personal protective equipment in compliance with DCD and OSHA guidelines, rules and regulations concerning child abuse reporting and guardianship. The patient population must be considered when assessing job knowledge required from the employee. -
