As a Senior Store Operations Manager, overseeing San Francisco & East Bay you’re the steady hand across multiple bakeries, building the teams, culture, and consistency that make our bakeries run night after night. Overseeing multiple bakeries, you'll bring your hospitality instincts and business acumen to every location, developing bakery teams to deliver the experience that keeps our fans coming back.

Job Duties & Position Focus:

Oversee day-to-day operations across 2 or more bakery locations, ensuring consistent execution of brand, service, and quality standards at every site.

Hire, coach, and develop a diverse part-time hourly staff across multiple locations, building bench strength and succession pipelines

  • Lead service components including stellar food quality, engaging customer service, employee friendliness, and store cleanliness, through the team at each location.

  • Establish and reinforce a strong culture of excellence that prioritizes cookie quality, customer service, and sales performance across all managed bakeries, while supporting professional growth and opportunity for all team members.

  • Manage and audit inventory, labor, and cost controls across multiple stores, identifying and resolving operational gaps between locations.

  • Understanding and analysis of their bakeries’ P&L and other performance data across bakeries to identify trends, share best practices, and drive consistent results across the portfolio.

  • Create and drive in-store recognition programs/contests across all managed bakeries.

  • Serve as a key point of escalation and mentor for Assistant Bakery Operations Managers and Shift Leads, providing coaching and operational support.

  • Address employee relations matters across managed locations, addressing performance and conduct concerns proactively and consistently.

  • Serve as a hands-on leader and role model by supporting the team and confidently performing any operational role as business needs require.

  • Bring marketing strategies and campaigns to life, shaped to fit your market.

What we seek:

  • 3+ years of management/leadership experience in high volume hospitality, restaurant, or retail, including experience overseeing multiple locations or a multi-unit environment

  • Open availability to work in-bakery, at least 2-3 late shifts (until 2 or 3am) throughout the latter part of the week (Thurs-Sun) and some opening shifts, splitting time between managed locations

  • Comfortable working single coverage during off-peak shifts

  • People-first leadership style with a player-coach mentality when it comes to day-to-day management of the business

  • Strong emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills, with experience addressing and de-escalating employee issues calmly and fairly

  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize across multiple locations while increasing performance standards

  • An innate sense of true hospitality and ability to deliver exceptional customer service to all guests

  • A solid technical acumen regarding restaurant/retail business software, proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, MS Teams and prior experience hiring employees using an Applicant Tracking System

  • Understanding of all restaurant food safety standards, elements, and compliance

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50lbs

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods

  • Ability to bend/reach, bend, kneel, and stoop to access ovens, storage, and display cases

  • Manual dexterity to operate commercial baking and food prep equipment

  • Tolerance for exposure to varying temperatures, including heat from commercial ovens

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

  • Ability to travel between managed locations

  • Ability to work nights and weekends
