Job Description
Icon Aerospace has an exciting opportunity as an ATE Technician Under general supervision, this position is responsible for ensuring the ATE team's compliance with FAA regulations for Part 145 repair shop by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting and repairing equipment used on aircrafts. Training to specifics of this position will be provided.
Detailed Description:
- Assist with troubleshooting faults in electronic circuits and systems using various types of test equipment e.g., Special Test Equipment "STE", Automated Test Equipment "ATE", data analyzers, microprocessors emulators, circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters.
- Assist with reading and interpreting production illustrations (PI), wiring diagrams, schematics, understanding symbols, flag notes, and general notes.
- Assist with identifying and troubleshooting process, material, or equipment problems to minimize down time and recommend solutions.
- Must have obtained troubleshooting and fault isolation skills through training and/or schooling.
- Assist with preliminary analyses, alignments, light to moderate troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronics at a level that meets or exceeds the expected productivity in accordance with the protocol and the FAA certified repair station requirements.
- Must learn and comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and ISO procedures.
- Assist leadership team with approving your team's time off, and managing attendance.
Requirements:
- At least a minimum one (1) year of experience in aviation, and/or airlines, similar military experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings, diagrams, and manuals; aircraft avionics/other systems; wire coding systems; avionics test equipment
- Usage of basic hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office application: Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Read, speak, write and understand the English language (FAA requirement).
