Job Description

Partner Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Partner Account Manager based in the United States.

This is a strategic partner-management opportunity focused on maximizing growth, profitability, and operational excellence across a major technology partnership. The role combines program management, sales strategy, partner enablement, pipeline management, and go-to-market execution. You’ll work across sales, engineering, services, operations, distributors, and partner teams to align priorities and accelerate opportunities. Approximately 75% of the role centers on partner programs, while 25% focuses on go-to-market initiatives and growth. Success requires strong analytical thinking, meticulous program tracking, commercial judgment, and the ability to identify risks and opportunities before they impact results. You’ll also help expand customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, and ensure compliance with partner requirements. This is a fully remote, full-time position with occasional travel to support strategic partnership activities.

Accountabilities
  • Manage partner programs strategically, including proficiency and certification tracking, program metrics, incentives, rebates, and partner investments.
  • Identify the certifications and proficiencies that will create the greatest business value, coordinate completion, and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate partner demand-generation campaigns, marketing development funds, events, and other go-to-market initiatives with internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering and sales teams to coordinate enablement activities and strengthen organizational capabilities across the partner portfolio.
  • Collaborate with services teams to develop capabilities around key solution areas and align offerings with customer needs.
  • Work with sales teams to develop account-growth strategies, maximize margins, and structure creative and profitable deals.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand into new product categories, customer segments, and lines of business.
  • Develop strong expertise in quoting tools, pricing structures, SKUs, product configurations, and quoting processes to support accurate and efficient proposals.
  • Track and report monthly, quarterly, and annual rebates, incentives, investments, and other partner-program performance metrics.
  • Create and distribute internal communications, newsletters, enablement materials, and process updates to keep Operations, Engineering, Sales, and other teams aligned.
  • Monitor pipeline activity with internal teams, partner channel teams, and distributors, ensuring accurate forecasting and clear actions to progress opportunities toward booking.
  • Investigate and resolve deal-alignment issues, improving deal hygiene while protecting margins, incentives, compliance, and profitability.
  • Monitor registrations and pipeline additions, ensuring opportunities meet applicable terms, conditions, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide responsive sales support, including deal assistance, account mapping, introductions, and alignment support for new and existing sales teams.
  • Track strategic partnership KPIs, milestones, and commitments, and provide regular progress reporting.
  • Analyze the existing customer base to identify opportunities for account expansion through additional products, solutions, and services.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for customer and manufacturer compliance requirements, audits, gap identification, and remediation.
  • Support partner managers with strategic projects and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Manage and oversee the partner-advantage program and ensure relevant program requirements and opportunities are effectively utilized.
  • Apply forward-looking strategic thinking to identify risks, recommend solutions, and drive timely next steps across complex partnership initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in program management, partner management, sales support, business development, or a closely related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple programs, deadlines, metrics, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience tracking performance metrics, pipeline data, incentives, rebates, and program results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate stakeholders across sales, engineering, services, operations, partner, and distribution teams.
  • Experience supporting sales organizations or business-development initiatives is preferred.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance revenue growth with pricing, margins, incentives, compliance, and profitability.
  • Ability to learn and manage complex quoting, pricing, product configuration, registration, and partner-program processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and maintaining accuracy.
  • Forward-thinking problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, investigate misalignment, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build productive relationships across internal and external organizations.
  • High level of responsiveness, urgency, and ownership when supporting sales teams and progressing business opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally in support of strategic partnership activities.
Benefits
  • Compensation: $110,000–$140,000 annual On-Target Earnings (OTE), including base salary and applicable target bonus.
  • Compensation flexibility: Actual OTE may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
  • Remote work: Full-time remote position within the United States.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Paid company holidays.
  • Paid time off.
  • Paid parental and caregiver leave.
