This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) based in the United States.
This is a technical customer-facing role focused on helping enterprise organizations integrate advanced post-quantum cryptography solutions into complex hardware and software environments.
You will support strategic accounts across semiconductors, security technology, hyperscalers, networking, telecom, and other highly technical industries.
The role combines sales engineering, technical discovery, solution design, product demonstrations, and customer enablement.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex customer requirements into practical solutions and coordinating closely with engineering teams.
Your expertise will help move opportunities through the sales cycle while ensuring technically sound and successful customer integrations.
You will collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Management within a growing international technology organization.
The position is ideal for an experienced FAE or Sales Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and working at the intersection of cybersecurity, hardware, and enterprise technology.
- Support strategic customer accounts by identifying technical requirements, researching appropriate solutions, and presenting or demonstrating relevant technologies.
- Engage with prospects throughout the sales cycle to understand their technical challenges, provide timely information, and help advance qualified opportunities.
- Educate customers and prospects on post-quantum cryptography products, technologies, and use cases, including developing and delivering customer-facing demonstrations.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling value propositions for engineers, technical decision-makers, and senior executives.
- Document technical customer interactions and requirements through Q&A materials, Statements of Work, quick-start guides, technical specifications, and related documentation.
- Identify the technical milestones and integration requirements needed to successfully close opportunities and transition customers into implementation.
- Partner closely with Engineering to communicate customer requirements, priorities, technical dependencies, and timelines.
- Help ensure customer integrations progress efficiently by coordinating technical activities and maintaining strong alignment between commercial and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop strategic account approaches, technical messaging, demonstrations, and customer engagement strategies.
- Gather and communicate feedback from customers and prospects to Engineering and Management to influence product development, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
- Maintain accurate technical opportunity information and sales-cycle documentation using tools such as HubSpot, Jira, GitHub, and Google Workspace.
- Support customer meetings, industry events, and other commercial activities as required across North America.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor both externally with customers and internally across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant Field Applications Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical customer-facing experience, with a demonstrated history of success.
- Experience with hardware IP cores, security software, embedded solutions, or related technologies sold to OEMs, defense contractors, semiconductor companies, security vendors, or other highly technical organizations.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles involving sophisticated technical requirements and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate the technical value of complex solutions effectively to engineers as well as VP- and C-level executives.
- Proven experience integrating, configuring, troubleshooting, and demonstrating technically complex products or solutions.
- Strong technical presentation, communication, storytelling, and product demonstration skills.
- Creative and structured problem-solving abilities, with a strong understanding of hardware IP and security technologies.
- Knowledge of cryptography or cybersecurity is a strong advantage, particularly experience related to post-quantum or embedded security technologies.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and senior leadership.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership in a fast-moving and evolving environment.
- Demonstrated interest in professional growth and the ability to expand responsibilities as the organization scales.
- Proficiency with HubSpot, Jira, GitHub, and related technical or commercial collaboration tools.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10–20% across North America for customer meetings, planning sessions, and industry or marketing events.
- Candidates should be based in the United States, with Austin, Texas or California preferred.
