  • Establish and improve test methodologies and automation practices that support parallel software development and automated test-suite execution.
  • Integrate automated testing into development and DevOps workflows to improve efficiency, coverage, and release confidence.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA teams, system administrators, and database administrators to investigate and resolve complex test failures.
  • Use SQL queries, application data, and web and application server logs to diagnose defects and identify root causes.
  • Test enterprise software across relevant platforms, including mobile applications, while continuously improving automation coverage and test reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen testing processes, automation frameworks, and overall software quality.
  • Provide technical leadership and share quality engineering expertise with colleagues and junior team members.
  • Support teams in resolving complex testing and automation challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in enterprise software testing, quality engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions.
  • Solid understanding of both manual and automated software testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience testing mobile applications and enterprise software within Agile development environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with experience investigating failures across application, database, and test environments.
  • Practical experience with SQL and application/web server log analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud automation and DevOps practices, particularly AWS, is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience, including mentoring or supporting less-experienced quality engineering professionals.
  • Ability to work remotely from within Canada with availability overlapping Eastern Time working hours.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Comprehensive health and dental coverage.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Flexible remote work arrangements within Canada.
  • Employee wellness programs.
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work on enterprise technology supporting highly regulated and impactful healthcare and clinical environments.
  • Collaborative Agile environment with exposure to software engineering, automation, DevOps, and quality strategy.
  • Opportunity to provide technical leadership and influence software quality practices at scale.
