  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with high-revenue clients, senior procurement and purchasing stakeholders, outside sales teams, and other internal partners.
  • Identify and communicate qualified project leads and new business opportunities to the Business Development team to support growth within target customer groups.
  • Manage multiple accounts, programs, projects, and tasks simultaneously while effectively prioritizing competing demands and maintaining high standards of execution.
  • Develop strong internal relationships across functions to facilitate collaboration, accelerate decision-making, and ensure customer needs are addressed effectively.
  • Proactively identify customer and project issues, engage the appropriate departments and subject-matter experts, investigate root causes, and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, advocating for customer needs while holding relevant teams accountable for delivering high-quality products, services, and experiences.
  • Support customer growth objectives by understanding client needs, identifying opportunities, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
  • Assist with the mentorship and development of other team members by sharing knowledge, supporting best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel as needed to support customer relationships, business development activities, and project requirements, with the ability to travel up to 50%.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in Sales, Marketing, Client Development, or a closely related field, including a minimum of 3 years of progressive client development experience within the food retail industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with senior-level procurement and purchasing managers and other high-value customer stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management principles, business development, account growth, and customer engagement.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with familiarity with Microsoft CRM solutions.
  • General knowledge of commercial refrigeration or familiarity with refrigeration products and services is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple accounts, projects, tasks, and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, organization, and follow-through.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the initiative to identify business needs and execute solutions with minimal direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities, with the ability to understand customer needs and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
  • Team-oriented mindset combined with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt quickly to changing business priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% as required by the role.

Benefits:

  • Salary range of $86,320–$160,308, with actual compensation determined by factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
  • Eligibility for discretionary bonuses and incentive opportunities.

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions and immediate vesting.
  • Paid time off, stewardship leave, and parental leave.
  • Tuition reimbursement for eligible job-related courses after six months of service.
  • Employee assistance and wellbeing programs, including virtual health management, chronic condition support, and tobacco cessation resources.
  • Opportunity to work closely with high-value customers and senior commercial stakeholders while contributing directly to customer growth and revenue objectives.
