Responsibilities
- This role requires the ability to design, build, implement and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform (enhancements, integrations, automation) by working closely with various teams within the IT organization
- Ensure the solutions align with the company's strategic goals, comply with service management and ServiceNow best practices
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation to improve efficiency and reliability of ServiceNow solutions
- Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow features, updates, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Develop comprehensive configuration designs, use cases, test conditions to support the successful implementation of initiatives and processes
- Manage and resolve complex technical issues related to ServiceNow
- Create and publish supporting documentation for all systems designed and implemented
- Ability to work independently as well as with team members to accomplish assigned tasks
- Ability to provide clear status updates and perform peer-to-peer code reviews
- Participate in on call rotations which require availability during off hours and holidays
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow developer or administrator
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
- Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow platform and its modules
- Ability to understand complex technical and functional designs along with the ability to create and modify workflows
- Experience with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, ACL’s, Script Includes including advanced scripting for each
- Strong JavaScript and JSON skills required specifically, when it comes to outbound and inbound integration calls that handle data being passed back and forth between systems
- Clear understanding of how REST interfaces work as it relates to ServiceNow communications with other tools and services, HTTP status codes, HTTP methods (GET/POST)
- Experience with common REST-related authorization patterns (OAuth, API keys, token-based authentication, expiry, and renewal)
- Ability to define endpoints, configure authentication, configure access control lists (ACLs), perform variable substitution, etc. within ServiceNow
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Following Qualifications are a plus:
- Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification and/or Certified Implementation Specialist preferred preferred
- Experience with configuring Service Operations Workspace
- Strong analytic, planning, organizational and communication skills with the ability to provide concise business translation of technical requirements and descriptions.
- Experience working with HAM/SAM, Discovery/Service Mapping, CSM, Flow Designer/IntegrationHub
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
