Job Description

Durus Industrial is seeking a Shop & Warehouse Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day organization and operation of our Chandler shop and warehouse while supporting field operations with Class A CDL driving and logistics as required.

This is a hands-on position. The right candidate will maintain inventory, coordinate fleet service and logistics, manage receiving and shipping activities, and ensure our shop, warehouse, vehicles, tools, and materials remain organized and job-ready.

Position Overview
  • Full-time, hourly position with a minimum 40-hour work week
  • Based out of our Chandler shop and warehouse
  • Primary focus: Shop, warehouse, inventory, and fleet coordination
  • Secondary focus: Purchasing support, receiving, shipping, pickups, deliveries, and Class A CDL driving
  • Local travel and occasional day trips to project locations required
  • Overnight travel may occasionally be required based on project needs
  • Additional hours may be required to support project mobilizations and operational needs
  • Core ResponsibilitiesShop and Warehouse Operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and functional shop, warehouse, and yard
  • Organize and maintain tools, equipment, materials, consumables, and supplies
  • Maintain accountability of company assets assigned to the shop and warehouse
  • Stage tools, materials, and equipment for upcoming projects
  • Receive and process materials and equipment returned from jobsites
  • Identify damaged, missing, or unserviceable tools and equipment
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, trailers, materials, and equipment
  • Maintain general shop and warehouse tidiness and operational readiness
  • Inventory and Material Control
  • Maintain and track inventory of commonly used materials, tools, consumables, PPE, and shop supplies
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify replenishment requirements
  • Generate purchase requisitions for common materials, consumables, and shop supplies
  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials and shipments
  • Verify quantities and condition of received materials against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Organize and properly store received materials
  • Support periodic inventory counts and audits
  • Assist with tracking materials and equipment transferred between the shop and active projects
  • Fleet and Equipment Readiness
  • Coordinate routine service, preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections for company trucks, trailers, and equipment
  • Track upcoming fleet service requirements and coordinate scheduling with management and service providers
  • Coordinate vehicle and equipment drop-offs and pickups with dealerships, repair facilities, tire shops, and vendors
  • Maintain service and maintenance documentation as required
  • Perform routine visual inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Help ensure company vehicles, trailers, and equipment remain clean, serviceable, and ready for field use
  • Driving and Logistics Support
  • Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to and from Durus project locations
  • Operate company trucks and trailers in compliance with applicable DOT and company requirements
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials and equipment
  • Make local vendor pickups and deliveries throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area
  • Make day-trip and occasional overnight deliveries to project locations throughout Arizona and surrounding areas
  • Support equipment and material mobilization and demobilization
  • Maintain required driver documentation and perform applicable pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain company vehicles and trailers in a clean, safe, and job-ready condition
  • Operational Support
  • Work with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents, Purchasing, and other Durus personnel to support field requirements
  • Prepare gang boxes, tools, consumables, safety supplies, and miscellaneous materials for project mobilizations
  • Assist with facility and shop maintenance as required
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory controls, fleet readiness, and logistics
  • Perform other duties consistent with the position and the operational needs of an industrial construction contractor
  • Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
  • Valid DOT medical certification and ability to maintain all applicable driver qualifications
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record required
  • Experience operating commercial trucks and equipment trailers
  • Experience hauling construction materials, tools, and equipment preferred
  • Working knowledge of DOT requirements, load securement, weight limitations, and safe transportation practices
  • Ability to perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction materials and equipment
  • Previous warehouse, industrial construction, fleet, equipment, logistics, or material-handling experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction tools, materials, consumables, and equipment preferred
  • Experience with inventory control, shipping, receiving, or purchasing processes preferred
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify common vehicle and equipment maintenance needs
  • Forklift experience preferred; company training may be provided
  • Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, material lists, and shipping documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, self-directed, and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in typical Arizona weather conditions
  • Willingness to travel as required to support Durus operations
