Job Description
The Foundation for Hispanic Education (TFHE) is seeking a dedicated Campus Supervisor responsible for ensuring site security and visitor management. This role involves collecting visitor information in accordance with security protocols, maintaining daily log reports, and addressing or redirecting inquiries under TFHE administration guidance. The Campus Supervisor directs visitors using up-to-date employee and department directories, provides clear instructions, enforces security procedures including screening and health advisories, monitors mail and deliveries with proper documentation, issues visitor badges upon approval, and supervises students in the immediate area to ensure compliance with all security and safety guidelines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Covers designated areas of responsibility, greeting and interacting with parents, students, staff, visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional, friendly, warm, and welcoming manner while adhering to all safety and health protocols.
- Communicates school policies and enforcement procedures to students, personnel, and visitors to ensure their understanding of rules and potential consequences for violations, while providing support to mediate conflicts.
Refers incidents such as injuries, altercations, or suspicious activities to appropriate site personnel promptly. - Administers First Aid and provides health and safety support, including setting up screening devices, delivering necessary supplies, and calling for assistance during medical emergencies; ensures proper care for ill or injured students.
- Responds to emergency situations following School Site Safety Plans and established emergency protocols.
- Distributes essential supplies such as protective equipment, nutrition program meals, and other basic needs items in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Assists in investigating incidents—medical emergencies, fights, suspicious behaviors—taking appropriate actions to maintain safety and security of people and property.
- Completes required emergency training, refresher courses, and protocol review sessions as assigned by the supervisor.
- Engages with students across campus sites using restorative justice techniques for conflict resolution, including mediation, open dialogue, and fostering community-based solutions.
- Supports teachers and administrators by supervising students during various campus events and in designated areas to ensure adherence to school policies and the student behavior code.
- Escorts students as needed, providing directed supervision and maintaining logs to ensure students are in appropriate campus locations.
- Prepares and maintains documentation such as discipline referrals, student passes, incident reports, security logs, and security camera reviews to support and communicate relevant information.
- Operates equipment including two-way radios, computers, infrared temperature scanners, protective gear, photocopiers, and cameras to enhance job efficiency.
- Manages traffic flow, visitor vehicle triage, and parking control to ensure safe and efficient use of campus parking and roadways.
- Assists with setup and takedown for on-campus events and meetings as directed by the School Principal; may take on expanded responsibilities for event management when requested.
- Assist the organization’s student recruitment and enrollment efforts with the school sites and supporting departments including maintaining detailed records of incoming student data, representing the organization at public events, administering presentations, making outreach calls, upholding enrollment processes, and other duties as assigned.
- Performs special assignments and other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver’s license required
- Strong public speaking skills in both English and Spanish preferred
Proficient writing skills in English and Spanish - Ability to accurately maintain logs and document visitor information
- Adherence to all safety protocols as directed by supervisors
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, and community members - Capacity to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure
- Commitment to maintaining security and confidentiality of sensitive records and information

- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong situational awareness with the ability to analyze and respond appropriately to various situations
- Proficiency in operating two-way radios and other standard communication equipment
- Knowledge of student supervision principles
- Awareness of health standards, hazards, and safety procedures relevant to the school environment
- Skills in conflict management and resolution
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish is preferred
- Familiarity with community resources available to support parents and students
