General Description

The Well, a long-term residential restorative program for women 18 years and older in the tri-state area. This program offers a safe haven and care allowing women of any background a place to live where they can experience true healing.

The House Coach (Resident Support Staff) provides direct care, guidance, and supportive services to women participating in The Well, a long-term residential restorative program for survivors of human trafficking. This role is responsible for fostering a safe, structured, and trauma-informed living environment while supporting residents in developing independent living skills, achieving personal goals, and maintaining overall well-being.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide support services
  • Transportation with a company vehicle to appointments
  • Engage and work alongside participants to perform life skill tasks
  • Administer pre-counted medications for day or weekend
  • Complete shift notes at the end of shift
  • Communicate to team members about issues that may arise
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Required:

  • Certified Recovery Specialist or Certified Peer Specialist preferred.
  • An Associate’ Degree in behavioral or social sciences, social work, counseling, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, a high school diploma\GED with two years of direct service experience or trauma-related work experience is also accepted.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Baseline knowledge of trauma.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and empathy.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, and communication skills.
