Job Description
Integrated Marketing Director
A hands-on marketer who brings rigorous planning, quantitative discipline, integrated execution, and performance measurement to HealthCentral's portfolio of brands and products.
About the Role
HealthCentral is looking for an Integrated Marketing Director who can help shape our marketing strategy and personally execute the integrated marketing plans that bring it to life.
HealthCentral is in the midst of a significant transformation—from an endemic health publisher into a personalized health experience and technology company. With a new leadership and commercial team in place, we have significantly expanded and elevated our products, capabilities, and value proposition. Now, we are looking for a seasoned marketer who can help us take those capabilities to market.
Working closely with the Chief Brand Officer and Chief Revenue Officer, this person will connect brand, creative, product, and commercial strategy into a comprehensive, measurable marketing plan. They will define how we reach and engage our key audiences—including patients, healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies, agencies, and other B2B decision-makers—and determine the right messaging, channels, campaigns, investments, and metrics to drive growth.
This is a highly hands-on role for a marketer who combines strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. You will build plans, manage programs, coordinate across teams, and move work from brief to launch. Success requires both sound marketing judgment and the willingness to do the work needed to get campaigns and programs out the door.
What You'll Do
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop annual and quarterly integrated marketing plans aligned with company, brand, product, and commercial objectives.
- Translate business objectives into clear marketing objectives, strategies, tactics, budgets, timelines, and measurable KPIs.
- Develop audience segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Build marketing plans across HealthCentral's portfolio, including corporate initiatives and individual products and solutions.
- Identify market opportunities, competitive dynamics, audience needs, and emerging trends that should inform our marketing strategy.
Integrated Campaigns & Channel Strategies
- Develop and execute integrated campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Determine the appropriate channel mix across digital, social, email, content, events, conferences, partnerships, PR, thought leadership, and other channels.
- Build and manage campaign calendars and activation plans, including briefs, deliverables, timelines, owners, and launch milestones.
- Manage day-to-day program execution across internal teams and external partners, coordinating inputs, approvals, and deliverables, resolving blockers, and keeping launches on schedule and consistent across channels.
- Develop strategies that move audiences from awareness through consideration, engagement, and conversion.
Budgeting, Analytics & ROI
- Develop and manage marketing budgets and recommend how investment should be allocated across channels and initiatives.
- Establish measurable KPIs for marketing programs and campaigns.
- Build reporting frameworks and dashboards that provide visibility into marketing performance.
- Measure marketing effectiveness, including engagement, lead generation, pipeline contribution, conversion, CAC where applicable, and ROI/ROAS.
- Analyze performance and recommend where to increase, decrease, or reallocate investment.
- Establish a regular marketing performance review that clearly communicates what we invested, what happened, what we learned, and what we should do next.
Go-to-Market & Commercial Partnerships
- Partner closely with Commercial leadership to ensure marketing strategy supports revenue objectives and priority accounts.
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new products, capabilities, and partnerships, coordinating launch materials, team responsibilities, and rollout timelines.
- Create audience and market strategies for HealthCentral's patient, HCP, agency, and pharmaceutical client audiences.
- Create and adapt marketing materials—including sales presentations, email copy, campaign briefs, case studies, and thought leadership content—working with Sales, Brand, Creative, and subject-matter experts to support demand generation and pipeline development.
- Connect marketing activity to measurable commercial outcomes wherever possible.
- Brand Partnerships
- Partner closely with the Chief Brand Officer to translate brand strategy, positioning, and creative direction into measurable marketing programs.
- Help ensure HealthCentral and its portfolio of brands show up consistently across campaigns, conferences, partnerships, and market-facing initiatives.
- Bring quantitative insight to brand and marketing decisions, helping the organization balance creativity and intuition with data and performance.
- Help develop strategies for conferences, industry presence, strategic partnerships, and other opportunities that build HealthCentral's market position.
- 6-10+ years of experience in integrated marketing, marketing strategy, growth marketing, product marketing, demand generation, or related disciplines.
- Experience personally developing comprehensive annual and quarterly marketing plans and executing the campaigns and programs within them.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with experience developing budgets, forecasts, performance models, and ROI analyses.
- Strong understanding of marketing funnels, segmentation, channel strategy, campaign development, and performance measurement.
- Ability to turn broad business objectives into structured, executable marketing plans and manage the details required to deliver them.
- Experience working across multiple products, audiences, or business lines strongly preferred.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and comfort working directly with marketing data.
- Experience with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and reporting platforms.
- Ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct authority, manage competing priorities, and drive work through review, approval, and launch.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations to senior leadership.
- Healthcare, pharmaceutical, health-tech, media, SaaS, or data/technology experience is helpful but not required.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first year, this person will have established a repeatable marketing planning and measurement discipline across HealthCentral and consistently delivered campaigns, programs, and market-facing materials. Success will include well-managed timelines, effective coordination across teams, and measurable results. The organization should be able to clearly answer:
Who are we trying to reach? What do we want them to believe or do? What are we doing to reach them? Which channels are we using? How much are we investing? What results are we generating? What is working? What isn't? And where should we invest next?
