Job Description
Part Time 30 hrs/week
Pay Rate: $18.00-$20.00/hr
SUMMARY
Responsible for preparing menu items consistently and in line with company specifications in a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time with an equally high degree of accuracy required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follows recipe book to prepare and cook meats, fish, poultry, gravies, sauces, breads, vegetables, etc.
- Strong menu knowledge.
- Ability to accurately read, organize and coordinate tickets.
- Follow specific instructions on special orders including, but not limited to: allergy specific requests, gluten free requests, portion specific requests, vegan requests and vegetarian requests.
- Able to cut, broil, sauté, fry and portion according to specifications.
- Food preparation and production.
- Unpacking and organizing received goods and product.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ability to communicate with others to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
- Operate and participate effectively in a team environment.
- Adhere to schedule and time requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School degree or equivalent preferred.
- Previous kitchen experience of at least 2 years strongly preferred.
BASIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting up to 10 (ten) pounds constantly and up to 50 (fifty) pounds as required.
- Lifting from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently.
- Twists and reach frequently.
- Grasp objects to move or manipulate constantly.
- Color and depth perception required for vision. Need both near and far vision with or without proper corrective lenses.
- Work in a hot environment for an extended period of time.
- May inadvertently “bump into” team members in a relatively small work area.
- Stand and walk for an extended period of time.
- Listen to and comprehend instructions/requests from managers and coworkers over restaurant and equipment noise.
- FREQUENT hand washing required.
- Thoroughly complete written and verbal opening and closing duties/procedures.
