Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Blytheville, Arkansas

Full-Time | Exempt

East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our Behavioral Health team. In this role, you will provide integrated behavioral health services within our Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, helping patients improve their mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being through evidence-based counseling and collaboration with primary care providers.

As a member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care that improves health outcomes throughout the communities we serve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide brief behavioral health consultations for individuals, couples, and families.
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments and establish appropriate diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide psychoeducation and counseling to patients and their support systems.
  • Utilize Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused interventions, and other evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Assist patients with medication adherence, disease self-management, and development of healthy coping skills.
  • Conduct substance use screenings and provide brief intervention and referral to treatment when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers to develop and implement integrated treatment plans.
  • Coordinate care with community behavioral health providers and specialty services.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during psychiatric or behavioral health emergencies.
  • Complete timely documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing documentation.
  • Meet productivity expectations of approximately 8–10 behavioral health consultations per clinical day.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and behavioral health program development.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, organizational policies, and all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current Arkansas licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or eligibility for Arkansas licensure.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of behavioral health counseling experience preferred.
  • Experience providing individual, family, and group counseling.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an integrated primary care environment.
Preferred
  • Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health center.
  • Experience treating substance use disorders.
  • Experience providing crisis intervention.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
