Job Description

Entrepreneur in Residence

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence based in Canada.

This is a high-autonomy opportunity for a builder who thrives where the path is still being defined.
You’ll work across AI strategy, product, ventures, client engagements, and internal initiatives to identify where you can create the greatest impact.
The role begins with a hands-on discovery period focused on prototyping, testing ideas, and learning quickly.
From there, you’ll take ownership of the opportunity where your skills and entrepreneurial instincts can generate the most leverage.
You’ll be expected to turn ambiguous problems into practical plans and ship meaningful outcomes rather than simply advise.
You’ll collaborate with exceptional teams across strategy, engineering, design, data, and operations while contributing wherever needed.
This is an ideal environment for someone who wants a launchpad to build ambitious, AI-enabled products, ventures, and solutions.

Accountabilities
  • Explore and prototype: Work with leadership during an initial discovery period to develop, test, and validate potential venture, product, and client opportunities through working prototypes and rapid experimentation.
  • Identify high-leverage opportunities: Assess where your skills and experience can create the greatest organizational or commercial impact, then commit to a primary role, venture, or initiative.
  • Build and ship: Take ideas from concept through execution, whether developing a new venture, client solution, internal tool, AI-enabled product, or other strategic initiative, with a strong focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Operate across disciplines: Contribute to strategy, client engagements, product development, team building, and other priorities as organizational needs evolve.
  • Raise the bar: Challenge assumptions, provide candid and constructive feedback, promote rigorous thinking, and help teammates improve the quality and impact of their work.
  • Work through ambiguity: Create direction where no established roadmap exists, adapt quickly as circumstances change, and take ownership from problem identification through delivery.
Requirements
  • Builder mindset: Demonstrated experience creating and shipping startups, products, tools, systems, movements, or other meaningful initiatives, with tangible evidence of what you have built.
  • Generalist capability: Ability to move confidently between disciplines, such as strategy, product, technology, design, sales, or operations, while maintaining meaningful depth in at least one area.
  • AI expertise: Hands-on experience building with AI, including LLMs, AI-powered products, model integrations, AI tools, automated workflows, or related technologies, combined with an understanding of their business implications.
  • Entrepreneurial experience: Proven ability to start from scratch, operate without a predefined roadmap, make decisions with incomplete information, pivot when necessary, and deliver results.
  • Professional hard skill: Strong capability in at least one discipline such as coding, design, sales, product, strategy, or another commercially relevant area, with sufficient range to contribute beyond your core specialty.
  • Ownership and initiative: A proactive, self-directed approach with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and act without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Intellectual curiosity: Willingness to challenge your own assumptions, seek feedback, learn quickly, and change direction when evidence suggests a better path.
  • High standards: Comfortable working in ambitious, fast-moving environments where quality, accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement are expected.
  • Communication and collaboration: Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams while building trust and contributing constructively.
  • Portfolio of work: Ability to provide concrete evidence of something you have built, such as a GitHub repository, live product, case study, portfolio, AI tool, automation, agent, or prototype.
  • Location and availability: Based in Canada and able to work remotely on a full-time basis. Occasional travel is required.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work within Canada.
  • Full-time opportunity with high autonomy and the potential to evolve into a venture, product, leadership, or other high-impact role.
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Opportunity to work on ambitious AI strategies, products, ventures, and client engagements.
  • Exposure to multidisciplinary teams spanning strategy, engineering, design, data, and operations.
  • A builder-first culture centered on accountability, curiosity, experimentation, continuous learning, and high standards.
  • Inclusive and collaborative working environment where diverse perspectives are valued.
  • Opportunity to work on meaningful initiatives designed to create practical, real-world impact.
  • Occasional travel opportunities as part of the role.
  • Employment structure: Canada-based candidates engage as independent contractors.
