Title: Production Associate

Location: 700 Ormont Dr, North York ON, M9L 2V4

Shift time: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM & 3:30 PM to 11:30PM

Position Status: Permanent Full-Time

We are looking for a Production Associate to join our team. In a specified area of the plant, the Production associate will be required to move, sort, break apart and lift materials in an efficient manner while respecting standards of security and safety. The production associate will be responsible for operating the baler that compresses and bounds materials, operate the shrink wrapper, and assist in other areas of the warehouse as required.

Key Responsibilities:

    Identifies and sorts different electronic materials in assigned boxes while adhering to classification of commodities into different grades to maximize production outputManually dismantle electronics materials by hand of small toolsFollow policies, procedures, and work instructions for all daily activities.Sort materials into defined categories and report weights processedRecord data into ERP system regarding weight of materialRemove batteries from all electronics.Always maintain housekeeping and site cleanliness with a focus on Health & SafetyPromptly report any issues to the Production Supervisor or designateOther duties may be required as requested by supervisor or team lead

Job Knowledge and Skills :

    Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is an assetPositive attitude and desire to learnCommitment to personal safety and safety of coworkersExperience using various hand tools/ air tools/power toolsStrong attention to detailExcellent hand-eye coordinationAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift, push, pull up to 40 lbs. or 18 kgs

Working Conditions:

    High volume of heavy equipment trafficHigh exposure to designated substancesHigh Exposure to loud noises; hot and cold temperatures, dusty conditionsRepetitive tasks with a fast passed processing environmentMust wear required PPE, respirator, safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes
