Upson Regional Medical Center (URMC) is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Oncology team and help launch our new Oncology and Infusion Service Line. As a key clinical leader, you will work alongside oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other multidisciplinary team members to create an exceptional patient experience while delivering evidence-based cancer care.
Position Highlights
As an Oncology APP, you will:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient oncology care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of cancer patients, as well as inpatient consults.
- Conduct follow-up visits, treatment toxicity assessments, symptom management, and survivorship care.
- Serve as a first-line clinical resource for infusion-related concerns and treatment support.
- Participate in new patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations, diagnostic review, and care coordination.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and implement supportive care interventions.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, symptom management, and supportive services.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary oncology team focused on delivering outstanding outcomes and compassionate care.

Qualifications
Required:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program
- Current Georgia NP or PA licensure
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, or equivalent)
- Two or more years of experience as an RN, NP, or PA in an inpatient or outpatient clinical setting
Preferred:
- Medical Oncology experience
- Disease-site-specific oncology experience
- Oncology certification (AOCNP®, AOCN®, or equivalent)
