We're looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our IT team and work alongside our Senior Developer building the internal tools and platforms that run Barron Collier Companies. This isn't a ticket-grinding support role — you'll be writing real code, shipping real features, and working in a codebase where AI is already doing real work.

Our Senior Developer has built AI-powered features that are live in production today — financial reports that business users can query in plain English, and an AP workflow that uses AI to read invoices, extract vendor data, and automatically code transactions to our ERP system. You'll be learning from the person who built those systems and contributing to what comes next.

If you're excited about building practical AI tools — not just using them, but actually writing the code — this is a rare opportunity to do that in a stable, established company with real business problems to solve.

• Build and maintain internal web applications in C#, .NET, and Blazor alongside our Senior Developer
• Write and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and data integrations
• Assist with AI-enabled features — including conversational reporting tools and AI-driven workflow automation — built on patterns the Senior Developer establishes
• Support our AP automation system: AI document processing, vendor data extraction, and ERP coding logic
• Create dashboards and reporting tools that pull data from ERP, finance, HR, and operational systems
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate your work — and evaluate what they produce critically before committing it
• Document your code and solutions as you build
• Collaborate with people across the business to understand what they need and build it

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We value problem-solving ability, initiative, and a growth mindset over a specific educational background. Our ideal candidate:

• Has coding experience in C#, .NET, or a comparable object-oriented language — self-taught, hobby, or professional all count
• Can write and troubleshoot SQL queries independently
• Is curious about AI and either has experience with AI APIs or is actively learning — we're not looking for an AI researcher, just someone who finds this stuff genuinely interesting
• Thinks logically, digs into unfamiliar problems, and doesn't give up easily
• Takes ownership of their work and pays attention to details
• Can work independently but knows when to ask for help
• Communicates clearly and can explain technical work to non-technical people
• Has roots in Southwest Florida or strong ties to the Naples area

NICE TO HAVE (BUT WE CAN TEACH YOU)

• Experience with Blazor or ASP.NET Core
• Hands-on experience with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or similar)
• Familiarity with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics GP
• Understanding of REST APIs and integration patterns
• Version control experience (Git)

This position is based in Naples and is on-site. Once you're established and we've built mutual confidence in the working relationship, there's flexibility to work remotely on occasion.
