About the Role:
With decades of service in the Las Vegas valley, A-1 Mechanical & Electric is a stable, established HVAC and electrical contractor known for long-term employees, strong customer relationships, and a service department that has systems in place. We are looking for an organized, quick-thinking dispatcher who can keep the wheels turning without turning the day into a five-alarm fire. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating and managing the timely and efficient deployment of personnel, vehicles, or equipment. This position requires maintaining constant communication with field staff and clients to ensure that service requests are fulfilled promptly and accurately. The Dispatcher must effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing circumstances and emergencies. By utilizing strong peripheral vision and situational awareness, the Dispatcher monitors multiple activities simultaneously to prevent delays and optimize resource allocation. Ultimately, the role ensures seamless operational flow, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and organizational success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a dispatching role.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with dispatch software such as Service Titan or communication systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- Dispatching or scheduling experience preferred, ideally in HVAC, electrical, or service industries.
- Strong multitasking and communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and organized during high-volume days
- Experience with ServiceTitan or similar dispatch software is a plus
- Team-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency and accountability
- Strong computer and phone skills.
What You’ll Do:
- Schedule and dispatch HVAC service technicians efficiently throughout the day
- Coordinate emergency calls, preventive maintenance, and customer updates
- Communicate with technicians, customers, vendors, and internal departments
- Monitor technician schedules, travel time, and job progress
- Enter and update work orders, notes, and customer information accurately
- Help maintain high customer satisfaction through responsive communication
- Support the service department with administrative and operational coordination
