In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey, supporting pre-sales activities, solution design, and successful adoption of scientific software platforms. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs, demonstrate value, and help shape future product capabilities.
- Lead technical customer engagements, including product demonstrations, RFP responses, proof-of-concept projects, and evaluation processes.
- Analyze customer workflows, scientific challenges, and business requirements to design effective technology solutions.
- Develop solution proposals and technical architectures aligned with customer objectives and industry best practices.
- Partner with sales teams to provide technical expertise, support deal strategy, and improve customer engagement throughout the sales cycle.
- Build strong relationships with customers, consultants, and stakeholders while identifying opportunities to increase satisfaction and long-term value.
- Support customer training initiatives and ensure smooth transitions between proposed solutions and implementation teams.
- Maintain expertise across scientific software solutions, SaaS technologies, integrations, and evolving customer needs.
- Provide feedback to product teams to help improve offerings and ensure alignment with market requirements.
The ideal candidate combines advanced scientific knowledge with strong communication skills and experience supporting technology solutions in customer-facing environments. You should be comfortable presenting complex concepts, understanding research workflows, and translating technical capabilities into business value.
- Advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing scientific, technical, consulting, or pre-sales role.
- Experience delivering software demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution-focused discussions.
- Strong understanding of scientific informatics software and research workflows.
- Familiarity with SaaS architecture, integrations, security concepts, and cloud-based solutions.
- Ability to use SQL and Python to prototype workflows, integrations, and technical demonstrations.
- Experience modeling scientific data and designing solutions based on industry best practices.
- Knowledge of implementing, supporting, or integrating scientific systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams.
- Experience with AI-driven work practices and the ability to apply emerging technologies to improve productivity.
- Additional experience with pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry workflows is a plus.
- Familiarity with scientific applications such as molecular biology, research data management, or laboratory software platforms is preferred.
- Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
- Competitive base salary range of $84,519.92 - $114,350.48 USD annually.
