Mammography Technologist in Cookeville, Tennessee at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

This Mammography Technologist is responsible for working directly with patients and assisting radiologist while administering ionizing radiation in the course of mammography procedures. This professionally trained person will be responsible for the operation of the mammography system, Technologist Workstation, Secureview, CAD, Reporting System, RIS System, PAC’s and Bone Densitometer system. This position is responsible for providing patient care and patient safety as established by department standards. This position is responsible for performing a variety of basic secretarial, clerical and housekeeping functions such as customer service, examination and work area cleaning, telephone communications, computer system data entry, information retrieval, MQSA and ACR standards, maintaining supplies, infection control and providing education and support services for our patients. This position in addition to superb technical skills will also require the ability to follow the CRMC service commitments to customers and fellow staff.

Education Requirements: Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Licensures: Radiological Technologist & BLS required

Additional Certification Details: Graduate of an AMA accredited school of radiologic technology. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology as a Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and be certified in Mammography or eligible to sit for the examination. Each employee is responsible for acquiring his or her own continuing education credits to stay in good standing with the governing bodies; American College of Radiology (ACR) and Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
