About the Role:

The Painter role is essential in delivering high-quality finishes to a variety of surfaces, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and durability. This position involves preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate materials, and applying paint or coatings with precision and care. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings, often collaborating with other tradespeople to achieve the desired outcome. Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience in painting and surface preparation techniques
• High School Diploma or GED, 3 to 5 years of hands-on Experience.
• Experience in residential or commercial settings
• Strong manual dexterity and depth perception to perform detailed painting tasks accurately.
• Familiarity with drywall installation and repair processes.
• Ability to safely operate table saws and spray painting equipment.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry and fiberglass materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MIG welding to assist in minor metal repairs.
• Certification or formal training in painting or related trades.
• Knowledge of advanced spray painting techniques and equipment maintenance.
• Experience working in diverse environments including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and pressure washing to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
• Fill cracks, holes or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.
• Perform painting and staining on a variety of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, furniture, and exteriors.
• Conduct thorough preparation work, including sanding, priming, and masking, to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Mix and match colors of paint, stain, or varnish with oil or thinning and drying additives to obtain desired colors and consistency.
• Clean tools and equipment, such as brushes and rollers.
• Hange wallpaper
• Collaborate with Carpentry team members to ensure timely completion of projects
• Operate and maintain equipment such as table saws and spray-painting apparatus safely and efficiently
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols and regulations.
