FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time.

Position Summary

The Painter is responsible for applying protective and finishing paint coatings to manufactured products, including tanks, and aluminum enclosures, to meet quality and appearance standards. This position requires the safe use of paint equipment and respirators and ensures all painting activities are performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and production requirements.

Essential Functions

• Apply paint coatings to products using approved methods to achieve required finish and protection.

• Read work orders, drawings, and instructions to determine materials, colors, and coating requirements.

• Select, mix, and prepare coating materials to specified color, consistency, and finish standards.

• Paint tanks, trailers, and aluminum enclosures to required automotive or industrial finish quality.

• Clean, maintain, and store paint equipment and tools properly.

• Use respirators correctly and follow established procedures for respirator cleaning, storage, and use.

• Inspect painted surfaces for coverage, defects, and quality standards.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint area.

• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental controls.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening required.

• One to two years of related painting experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and work instructions.

• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately use a ruler or tape measure for measurements required in production tasks.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply common-sense problem solving.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• High level of awareness of surroundings, risks, and hazards.

• Willingness to work flexible hours as required.

• Must be medically cleared for respirator use in accordance with OSHA respiratory protection requirements.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Frequent standing and walking for extended periods
  • Repetitive use of hands, arms, and upper body
  • Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds (or position-specific limit)
  • Ability to operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely
  • Ability to read and interpret measurements using a ruler or measuring tools
  • Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing PPE
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify safety hazards and operational issues

Working Conditions

This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and hard or uneven walking surfaces. Work may involve proximity to heavy equipment, tools, forklifts, and production machinery. OSHA-compliant safety training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times while in production and warehouse areas.
