Program Relations Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Program Relations Manager in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of healthcare providers, patient support programs, and reimbursement systems, ensuring that patients receive timely and uninterrupted access to therapy.
You will act as a trusted liaison for healthcare professionals, coordinating communication between physicians, patient support programs, insurers, and pharmacy services.
The position plays a key role in guiding patients through complex treatment access and reimbursement pathways while reducing administrative and clinical friction.
You will build strong relationships with healthcare providers and clinic teams, supporting them in navigating program requirements and patient support processes.
This is a field-based, relationship-driven role that blends clinical understanding, coordination, and problem-solving in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
You will also help identify process improvements that enhance the efficiency and consistency of patient support delivery.
The role requires strong autonomy, travel within a defined territory, and consistent engagement with healthcare stakeholders.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between healthcare professionals and patient support programs, ensuring clear communication and smooth navigation of program requirements.
  • Support physicians and clinic staff in managing patient enrollment, documentation, and ongoing program participation.
  • Coordinate reimbursement processes across private and public payers, working closely with insurers and patient support teams to resolve access barriers.
  • Collect and validate patient and clinical information required for program eligibility, coverage, and ongoing support.
  • Monitor patient journeys to identify delays, barriers, or issues and proactively initiate resolution or escalation when needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, clinic staff, and internal program teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Support documentation review, medical notes coordination, and administrative follow-up related to reimbursement and patient support services.
  • Complete reporting, travel documentation, and administrative requirements in accordance with organizational standards and timelines.
  • Participate in educational activities, provider engagements, and in-service presentations to support program awareness and adoption.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, patient support programs, or related industry roles.
  • Strong background in reimbursement navigation, including private/public coverage, special authorizations, and appeals processes.
  • Experience in clinical, pharmacy, case management, or field-based healthcare support environments is highly valued.
  • Understanding of healthcare systems and stakeholder dynamics, including physicians, insurers, and patient access pathways.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify barriers and propose effective solutions.
  • Willingness to travel within an assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Fluency in English and/or French depending on regional requirements is considered an asset.
