Join Our Team as a LPN or Medical Assistant Clinical Supervisor!

Are you a compassionate and patient-focused Medical Assistant or LPN with at least 4 years of clinical experience looking for a rewarding leadership opportunity? Eagle Physicians & Associates is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Clinical Supervisor to join our dedicated healthcare team at Eagle Internal Medicine @ Tannenbaum

Schedule
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Shift hours may vary based on the needs of the practice as determined by the Practice Administrator
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience required

Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave

After one year of employment and 1,250 hours worked, Eagle provides up to two weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave for the birth or adoption of a child. Leave is prorated based on FTE status.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage incoming patients to determine priority and severity of conditions.
  • Obtain patient health histories and vital signs, documenting all information accurately in patient charts with close attention to current conditions.
  • Perform phlebotomy and in-house laboratory procedures and record results appropriately.
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with office procedures, including laceration repairs.
  • Administer prescribed injectable and oral medications and monitor patients for reactions and responses.
  • Educate patients regarding illnesses, treatment plans, and medications, including distribution of educational materials and answering patient questions.
  • Ensure laboratory reports are included in patient charts and reviewed by providers.
  • Obtain signed medical releases when appropriate.
  • Adhere to all established company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report equipment malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.
  • Schedule referral appointments with specialists and coordinate patient referrals as requested.
  • Assist with coordination of home health services, pre-certifications, re-certifications, and insurance pre-authorizations.
  • Operate medical equipment including, but not limited to:
    • Blood pressure cuff
    • tympanometer
    • Thermometer
    • HemoCue Systems
    • Spirometer
    • Litmus Testing
    • Audio scope
    • Emergency equipment (ambu bag, airways, oxygen)
    • Needles and syringes
    • Suction machine
    • Microscope
    • Nebulizers
    • EKG
    • Pulmonary function equipment
    • Holter monitor
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and restock supplies as necessary.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and exam rooms according to established procedures.
  • Ensure restricted materials including medications, needles, syringes, prescription pads, and patient medical records are secured and accessible only to authorized personnel.
  • Follow clinic policies regarding sample medications and dispense only with provider authorization.
  • Dispose of infectious waste in accordance with safety and training procedures.
  • Attend required staff meetings and participate on committees as requested.
  • Maintain exam rooms with appropriate supplies and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations as appropriate.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Refrain from exhibiting, copying, removing, or divulging the contents of records or reports except as required to fulfill assigned job duties.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, respect, compassion, and teamwork in all interactions with patients, coworkers, and visitors.
  • Display a positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with legible documentation and proper grammar.
