Housekeeper – Hotel in Houston, Texas at Texas Hotel Management

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hotel housekeeping team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned hotel areas to ensure a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and other guest supplies.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, floors, furniture, and other room areas.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and perform other routine cleaning duties.
• Replenish toiletries and in-room amenities as needed.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and missing items.
• Report maintenance problems, damaged items, or lost-and-found articles to the appropriate department.
• Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Respond courteously to guest requests when required.
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned public or back-of-house areas.
• Complete assigned rooms within the required time while maintaining quality standards.
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures.

• Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience preferred.
• Hospitality/hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift during the work shift.
• Ability to lift and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and hotel standards.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements: This position requires prolonged standing/walking, frequent bending and reaching, and the ability to lift and move housekeeping supplies and equipment.
