Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana, Inc. is looking for a Shipper for our E-Commerce Department in Fort Wayne Indiana. if you are looking for a fast-paced position with an eco-friendly organization then this might be the opportunity for you!

Our Shipper position is very important to the success of our organization. Many people shop from home and then look forward to their purchases being delivered. You will get to ensure that our customers receive the their purchases and that their items have packed securely.
Each day, a variety of types of items will be shipped. You will need to possess strong attention to detail, have the ability to select the appropriate shipping materials and use the correct packing methods for each item. You will need to accurately weigh and measure items, complete paperwork and use computerized shipping software. The ability to lift, push and pull heavy objects is also required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1) Run daily “To Be Shipped” Report
2) Confirm items to be shipped match the shipping report descriptions and item number.
3) Identify shipping carrier chosen and select appropriate size box, to ensure a safe delivery.
4) Pack items using proper packing techniques and using appropriate bubble wrap / packing peanuts.
5) Weigh completed package and note on the package.
6) Run shipping labels using appropriate carrier software and attach labels to packages
7) Complete end of the day shipping report.
8) Follows all safety rules and practices.
9) Performs all other duties as may be assigned by the E-Commerce Supervisor in the process of carrying out the mission of Goodwill Industries.
10) In order to promote customer and donor satisfaction it is mandatory for employees who come in contact with the public to maintain a positive work outlook and to project a pleasant, courteous, and helpful demeanor at all times when dealing with customers, donors, co workers, and clients.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Maintain adequate shipping supplies.
2) Maintain clean and organized shipping area.
3) Promote a team environment by helping when and where needed, during any down time.
4) Attends Department meetings.
ATTENDANCE
Goodwill, your co-workers, and our customers depend on you to be at work as scheduled.
An assigned rotation allows you to plan around your work schedule.
JOB PERFORMANCE
Reviewed upon initial hire at 30, 60 and 90 days, and annually thereafter by the E-Commerce Specialist.

EDUCATION
Computer proficiency.
EXPERIENCE
Previous computer experience required.

Other Activities:
Time spent traveling on agency business is nominal.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy work: Pushing and pulling up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently to move objects. The ability to fully perform lifting and moving duties is mandatory.
Requirements:
