We have been serving our local community and visitors since 1948. Our team is passionate about continuing the tradition that Green Lake's local residents and visitors from near and far have come to expect.

Nortons is looking for a professional and responsible Busser / Food Runner for our daily restaurant operations.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for maintaining high standards in the dining room and room service. Candidate must give the best service possible to our guests of Norton's restaurant. Typical shift will be 4:30 PM to 9:30 or 10:00 PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare, wipe and garnish plates from chef expediter station

Take trays of prepared dishes and serve them to the dining room

Clean as you go

Responsible for re-setting tables.

Re-fill water, coffee and tea as necessary

To set up bus station for the correct amount of business for the day.

Fold napkins, stock linens, butters, and polish silverware.

Learn table numbers and positions in dining room.

Learn all banquet rooms and guest rooms, and where the public restrooms are.

Assist in clearing tables.

Help to set up the outside station.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED; or working towards.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Long periods of time without sitting.

Carrying heavy trays of hot food.

Ability to handle stress and conflict without showing it to the guests.

4:30 PM to 9:30 or 10:00 PM

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to act quickly when changes occur, without hesitation.

Excellent people and communication skills.

Must be very neat in appearance and dress.

A Food Runner is a professional who is responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to customers at the restaurant. They help Waiters and Waitresses maintain a clean environment for restaurant patrons throughout the dining experience.
