This role is a deeply hands-on technical position focused on the stability, performance, and continuous evolution of a complex SAP S/4HANA landscape within a highly regulated fintech environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and operational excellence of SAP systems, covering everything from upgrades and system administration to monitoring, troubleshooting, and cloud operations. The position plays a critical role in maintaining production readiness, enforcing technical standards, and supporting regulatory and fiscal requirements across Brazil and LATAM. You will work closely with engineering, security, infrastructure, product, and external partners to ensure SAP operates securely and efficiently at scale. With a strong emphasis on automation, observability, and scripting, this role combines traditional Basis expertise with modern platform engineering practices. • Lead hands-on execution of SAP S/4HANA upgrades, including SUM cycles, SAP Notes implementation, regression support, cutover planning, and post-upgrade stabilization.
• Operate and maintain the SAP landscape end to end, including installations, support packages, kernel updates, system refreshes, client copies, and job scheduling.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SAP platform incidents, including performance issues, interface failures, transport errors, and system alerts.
• Manage SAP HANA operations, including replication, backup and recovery, performance tuning, capacity planning, and incident response.
• Govern SAP transport management processes using STMS and ChaRM/SAP Cloud ALM, ensuring traceability and safe deployment across environments.
• Support SAP Integration Suite / CPI from a platform perspective, including connectivity, monitoring, certificates, and runtime troubleshooting.
• Maintain SAP platform security controls, including technical users, SSO, certificates, audit logs, and SoD-aligned practices with Security teams.
• Support regulatory and fiscal changes impacting SAP, including SAP Notes adoption, system alignment, and coordination with FI/CO and tax teams.
• Define and improve observability and operational monitoring, including jobs, interfaces, HANA health, alerts, and system availability metrics.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation for monitoring, log analysis, operational tasks, and platform reliability improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, audit evidence, and operational procedures for internal and regulatory needs.
• Collaborate closely with SAP Tech Leads, Product Owners, engineers, and external partners to ensure production readiness and technical quality.
• Participate in defining SAP platform operating standards, including incident management, escalation paths, and support models.
• Act as Tier 3 escalation for complex SAP issues and ensure root cause resolution and preventive actions.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in SAP Basis or platform operations.
• Strong hands-on experience as SAP Basis in productive SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Experience with SAP upgrades (SUM), support packs, kernel updates, SAP Notes lifecycle, and system refresh processes.
• Solid knowledge of SAP HANA administration, including replication, backups, performance tuning, and capacity management.
• Experience with SAP transport management using STMS and ChaRM or SAP Cloud ALM.
• Working knowledge of SAP Integration Suite / CPI from an operational and troubleshooting perspective.
• Strong Linux administration skills (SUSE or RHEL) and scripting abilities (Shell or Python).
• Experience reading/debugging ABAP for incident analysis and SAP Notes validation.
• Strong understanding of SAP security concepts, including roles, SSO, certificates, and audit logs.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM and observability practices.
• Experience operating SAP in cloud environments such as RISE with SAP or AWS.
• Familiarity with regulated industries (fintech, banking, payments, retail, or e-commerce) and compliance frameworks such as BACEN, LGPD, or SOX.
• Strong ability to work in high-pressure environments with multiple priorities and tight operational windows.
• Fluent Portuguese and advanced English and Spanish are required.
• Nice to have: experience with BW/4HANA, SAP BTP, CI/CD practices, or AI-assisted engineering tools.
