LINE SUPERVISOR ATL MFG in Atlanta, Georgia at GF Health Products Inc

Supervises production, assembly, cut and sew employees in preparing components and assembling finished product related to mattresses, cushions, slings, PVC commodes and other items the company manufactures. Recommends improvements in production methods and working conditions

• Ensures effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development.
• Works with production and assembly employees to perform a variety of simple to complex tasks to produce mattresses, cushions, slings, PVC commodes and other products produced at the facility.
• Works with cut and sew operators to perform a variety of simple to complex tasks to produce high volume standard, special and custom fabric/vinyl patterns.
• Cuts raw fabrics including cotton, lycra, duck, flannel, foam, vinyl and nylon materials.
• Operates industrial sewing machines (single, double/triple needle, overlock, binder, punch/rivet/tacker, elastic, cover stitch, walking foot) and cutting tools (edge cutter).
• Performs administrative duties related to Work Order creation and final processing.
• Coordinates Production Schedule.
• Performs all manual tasks in the production process as necessary to assist with the production.
• Balances quality, productivity, safety and morale to achieve positive results. Works to continuously improve the production and assembly process.
• Performs administrative duties related to Work Order creation and final processing.
• Assists the Plant Manager with the replenishment of finished goods and raw materials procurement planning.
• Assists with New Product Development for PVC products.
• Helps design, coordinate and then participate in internal safety programs and communications.
• Adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures and incorporates sound safety and housekeeping practices in day to day work environment.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Assists the Plant Manager in the areas of staffing, training, instructing and otherwise maintain satisfaction of the department’s work force.
• Appraises employee performance and makes recommendations accordingly.
• Enforces company policies such as safety, attendance, productivity, anti-discrimination and other work rules.
