This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate, Hedge Advisory & Analytics based in the United States.
This is an opportunity to join a specialized team supporting institutional clients through sophisticated hedging analytics and trading recommendations.
The role focuses primarily on mortgage servicing rights and requires strong quantitative and financial expertise.
You will analyze market exposures, contribute to valuation models, and translate complex findings into actionable client recommendations.
You will also help enhance analytics tools and data systems as market conditions and client needs evolve.
The position offers meaningful exposure to interest rate derivatives and real-world financial risk management.
Success requires close collaboration across teams, strong client communication, and a high degree of analytical rigor.
This fully remote role is well suited to an analytical professional looking to deepen their expertise in financial markets and advisory services.
- Interface directly with institutional clients on a regular basis, understanding their needs and communicating analytical findings and recommendations clearly.
- Run hedge analyses as required to evaluate exposures, market conditions, and potential hedging strategies, primarily within the mortgage servicing rights environment.
- Provide trading and hedging recommendations based on quantitative analysis, market dynamics, and client objectives.
- Contribute to the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of valuation models, ensuring methodologies remain aligned with industry practices and evolving client requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams to explain analytical methodologies, support model and system integration, and ensure effective delivery of solutions.
- Help maintain and improve related analytics models and data systems while applying strong standards of accuracy, integrity, and technical competency.
- Participate in additional projects, training, and related responsibilities as business needs evolve.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, business administration, or a comparable combination of education and professional experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in an analyst-level role, ideally within financial markets, risk management, quantitative analytics, mortgage finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of interest rate derivatives and their application to financial hedging strategies.
- Experience with at least one programming or analytical language such as VBA, Python, C++, or SQL.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work with complex financial data and models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical methodologies to clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a professional approach to working directly with institutional clients.
- CFA, FRM, or Series 65 certification is considered an advantage.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to accuracy, integrity, and client service.
- Annual base salary range of $110,000–$150,000, with actual compensation determined by experience, education, skills, location, and market considerations.
- Potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus, subject to applicable program guidelines and position eligibility.
