Job Description

The Manager of Media Investment is responsible for developing granular and impactful media plans that latter up to the brief while simultaneously overseeing active campaign success to deliver the client’s goals. This position will be a daily contact for both the internal planning team and the external client.

Where you'll be working: Knoxville, TN. Relocation assistance may be provided.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing campaign success which involves campaign architecture, optimizations and measurement
  • Develop advanced Media Investment plans and mid-campaign recommendations
  • Possess expertise in utilizing in-house DSPs (The Trade Desk and Centro) and related platforms/tech-stack across a myriad of client campaigns
  • Collaborating with the media planning & advertising operations team to audit the consumer journey and confirm proper tagging & tracking implementation
  • Execute comprehensive performance analysis based on platform metrics and data points
  • Support Senior Managers & Supervisors in the development of team members from a process & vertical perspective
  • Researches and stays up-to-date on technology and trends surrounding Media Investment buying (DSPs, inventory & data sources, fraud protection, best practices, etc.)
  • Maintains a good relationship with our programmatic inventory and data vendors
  • Perform other job functions, as required by their Supervisor

What you bring:

  • 3-4 years of experience in Media Investment buying and planning at a media agency
  • Advanced proficiency in media planning/buying via a programmatic trading platform like The Trade Desk, Basis or a similar DSP partner
  • In-depth knowledge of integrated channel strategies and concepts
  • The ability to optimize cross-campaigns and cross-platform towards a holistic CPA
  • Experience in optimizing inventory, audience overlays and secondary campaign guardrails to maximize efficiencies while still scaling campaign budgets to spend in full
  • Can create advanced media plans with minimal assistance or input from senior personnel
  • Displays a fair understanding of analytics platforms and can utilize them to gauge paid media performance beyond platform
  • An in-depth understanding of how other media affects programmatic campaigns
  • The ability to explain complex technical topics in an easy to understand, client-facing way
