Housekeeper in Gatlinburg, Tennessee at The Timber

Gatlinburg, TN: The Timber at Holly Branch, an affiliate of Ayres Vacation Rental, is a lodge / boutique hotel. The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning the lodge and rooms consistently based on hotel standards, setting up the laundry cart and organizing the laundry closet.

Housekeeping General Cleaning Responsibilities

• Properly prepare and clean the rooms and ensure all accommodations are guest ready prior to each stay.
• Ensure all lodging accommodations are clean and organized meeting exceptional standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas (lobby, hallways, restrooms, etc.)
• Ensure guests have left accommodations in good condition at check-out.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and wash all surfaces, collecting and removing debris from property as needed.
• Manage and restock linens after each stay and restock suites with standard supplies.
• Set up and maintain the laundry cart and organize the laundry closet.
• Complete occasional laundry transportation to and from the laundry facility and The Timber.
• Clean and maintain fire pit areas.
• Audit and ensure all furniture, fixtures, and equipment meet the quality cleanliness standards and checklists provided by The Timber.
• Notify and recommend to management if furnishings, linens, etc. need repair or replacement.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored properly.
• Follow hotel safety and sanitation policies.
• Support guest needs around the property to the best of your ability, stepping in to assist with any duties that enhance the overall guest experience.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years previous experience as a housekeeper (preferred)
• Must be at least 18 years old (required).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with guests, the public and other team members.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and efficiency.
• Interpersonal skills to provide overall customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, climb, lift, push, and pull items weighing 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be comfortable working outside and in varying weather conditions.
