Job Description

Description:

Create Value Beyond the Purchase Order

AvaDent is looking for a Purchasing & Logistics Manager who naturally asks: Is there a better source, a better term, a smarter stocking strategy, or a new partner opportunity? This role is for someone who anticipates needs, acts with urgency, and enjoys turning purchasing data and supplier relationships into measurable business value.

You will ensure our manufacturing teams have the materials they need while managing inventory, departmental spend, supplier performance, logistics, and cost improvement. You will work directly with leaders across AvaDent and help strategic industry partners align with our growth, technology, and product initiatives.

About AvaDent

AvaDent is a dental manufacturing and technology company focused on advanced digital prosthetic solutions. We operate in a fast-paced environment where cross-functional teamwork, quality, innovation, and reliable execution matter.

What You Will Own:

  • Plan and purchase the materials, components, equipment, and supplies required to keep production moving while maintaining appropriate inventory and preventing stockouts.
  • Build departmental spend budgets with business leaders, track actual results, and partner with Accounting on accurate purchasing, landed-cost, and COGS-related data.
  • Analyze spend and total cost to deliver measurable savings, cost avoidance, and working-capital improvement.
  • Find and qualify alternative suppliers while negotiating pricing, terms, lead times, freight, and service commitments.
  • Lead supplier scorecards, quarterly reviews, and opportunity-assessment meetings—and hold vendors accountable for results.
  • Develop strategic supplier and industry relationships that support AvaDent's product roadmap and growth priorities.
  • Coordinate inbound logistics and proactively resolve shortages, delays, and supply-chain disruptions.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Production has the right materials at the right time without unnecessary inventory.
  • Department leaders understand their spending and remain aligned with budget.
  • Suppliers improve on quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, and innovation.
  • Savings, risks, and improvement opportunities are identified early, supported by analysis, and followed through.

Why AvaDent

This is a visible role with direct impact on production, cost, service, and growth. You will have the opportunity to shape supplier strategy, improve the purchasing function, and partner closely with leaders across AvaDent in an environment that values initiative, practical ideas, and measurable results.

If you are energized by finding opportunities, solving problems before they become disruptions, and creating value through better decisions and stronger supplier relationships, we would like to hear from you.

AvaDent is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.

Preferred Experience:
