JOB TITLE: Engineering Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design, development, and production of advanced defense and electromechanical systems. This individual will be responsible for managing engineering operations, mentoring technical staff, driving innovation, ensuring program execution, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is a proven engineering leader with extensive experience in the Defense industry, exceptional people management skills, and a strong technical foundation. While an electromechanical engineering background is preferred, candidates from other engineering disciplines with relevant defense industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team with support from other functional managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

· Establish engineering goals, priorities, and performance expectations.

· Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

· Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and succession planning.

· Build and maintain a high-performing engineering organization.

· Oversee engineering activities from concept through production and product lifecycle support.

· Ensure engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

· Manage engineering resources and project priorities across multiple programs.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, efficiency, and product quality.

· Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful program execution.

· Support proposal development, technical reviews, and customer presentations.

· Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.

· Ensure engineering support throughout prototype, production, testing, and sustainment phases.

· Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable industry standards.

· Support AS9100 and ISO quality management systems.

· Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations related to defense programs.

· Develop engineering strategies that align with company objectives.

· Recommend new technologies, tools, and engineering methodologies.

· Support long-term product development initiatives and continuous innovation.

· Participate in executive planning and operational decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

· Proven track record within the Defense industry of owning and leading engineering activities in support are satisfying a customer issues that result in the successful Qualification and Production release of new products, including verification, validation, environmental testing and customer qualification in accordance contractual requirements.

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems, Aerospace, Electromechanical, or related engineering discipline).

· Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering experience.

· Minimum 10 years of engineering management experience leading technical teams.

· Required experience working within the Defense industry.

· Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering organizations.

· Strong understanding of engineering design processes, product development, manufacturing support, and systems integration.

· Experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.

· Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams.

· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
