HR Systems & Configuration Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an HR Systems & Configuration Analyst based in the United States.

As an HR Systems & Configuration Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing and evolving the organization's HR technology ecosystem to support efficient, scalable, and data-driven people operations. You will oversee HRMS administration, system configuration, automation, reporting, and integrations while ensuring data integrity, compliance, and exceptional system performance. Working closely with HR, payroll, IT, and business stakeholders, you will translate operational needs into innovative technical solutions that improve processes and employee experiences. This role combines technical expertise with project management and analytical problem-solving, making it ideal for professionals who enjoy driving continuous improvement through HR technology. Accountabilities
  • Administer, configure, and continuously optimize HRMS modules, including Core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Compensation, Leave Management, Document Management, Reporting, Dashboards, and related functionality.
  • Configure workflows, business rules, approvals, self-service capabilities, and system settings to automate HR processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage system integrations, interfaces, upgrades, releases, testing, and ongoing maintenance while ensuring system stability, security, and data accuracy.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver standard and custom reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics that provide actionable insights for HR and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor user access, system security, compliance requirements, and audit activities, including SOX and ITGC controls, quarterly access reviews, segregation of duties, and data integrity audits.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, manage HRIS support requests, conduct alpha and beta testing, document configurations and standard operating procedures, and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Lead HR technology projects, identify opportunities for automation and process improvements, and translate business requirements into scalable system solutions that enhance the employee experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HRIS Systems Analyst or in a similar role supporting complex enterprise HRMS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing HR systems across Core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, and Document Management modules, preferably with UKG Pro or a comparable enterprise solution.
  • Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll processes, data governance, confidentiality, security, and system administration best practices.
  • Proven expertise in workflow automation, business rules, system configuration, integrations, file imports, interfaces, pay codes, deduction codes, PTO configuration, and user access management.
  • Experience creating complex reports, dashboards, workforce analytics, and utilizing advanced Microsoft Excel functions such as pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Experience supporting system testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, process documentation, and continuous performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with SOX and ITGC compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve HR system performance and automation is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
