About This Position
Position Details
We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our Vancouver office. In this role, you will be working in a collaborative team on mechanical design projects from schematic design through to construction. You should be an experienced designer with an excellent track record and considerable technical knowledge. Creative thinking and a proactive attitude, along with strong communication, organizational and report writing skills, are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical design including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and building control systems.
- System design calculations and equipment selections.
- Preparation of contract drawings and documentation.
- Project coordination with team designers and external design professionals
- Comply with AME Quality management standards and processes.
Key Skills
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, IESve, HAP and Microsoft Office.
- Up-to-date knowledge of technical developments, building codes and standards.
- Clear and concise communication, both orally and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a team.
Qualifications and Experience
- P.Eng. or Professional Technologist designation is preferred but not mandatory.
- 2-5 years of technical mechanical (HVAC, plumbing and fire protection) experience.
- Sustainable design certification (LEED®, Certified Passive House Designer, etc.) or experience would be an asset.
