RN ST Registered Nurse at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

We are seeking a Staff RN in our ever expanding, fast-paced Emergency Department. Our acuity level and admission rates are consistently high due to our transplant patient population and our chest pain accreditation. In this 22 bed department, you will have the opportunity to work with board-certified physicians who depend on your strong assessment skills, critical thinking and independent decision-making ability to safely expedite patient care. Unit clerks and ancillary staff are an intricate part of this professional team. Orientation is provided for experienced ED RN's, seasoned staff who wish to cross train into emergency medicine and the "right" new graduate who exhibits the knowledge level, work ethic and motivation necessary to successfully care for our patients. Your orientation will be based on your experience and level of comfort. ACLS and PALS are required certifications but can be obtained through our Career Institute free of charge to our employees. Experienced staff are our first consideration and TNCC would be a plus! You will find our department equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and an electronic documentation system.
