Job Description
Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules. Ensures employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation/notice required to qualify for and to take leave. Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employee's initial notice of needed leave to return to work. Gathers and completes required paperwork, determines leave eligibility, requests medical certification as needed, and performs accounting of leave time. Communicates with employees and leaders to facilitate a smooth and timely return to work. Drafts and recommends revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws. Maintains complete and accurate leave records and accommodation requests. Maintains employee confidentiality. Monitors attendance record and tracks hours worked.
Bachelor's degree is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a Human Resources department is preferred with at least one to three years' office experience. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and proven organizational and interpersonal skills. Prefer previous experience in word processing, especially experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail is very important.
Must be customer-service oriented, highly discreet, able to routinely handle confidential materials and manage multiple priorities and assignments. Must be flexible with hours and able to work under pressure. Has good judgment and problem-solving skills.
*Starting Range $23.34-$25.67
