We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Receiving Associate to join our team at buybuy BABY. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Retail Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of merchandise and inventory. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help maintain an accurate inventory and well-organized stockroom and contribute to the overall success of our brand.

Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.

Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures as needed.

Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.

Unload and unpack shipments of baby products, including clothing, toys, furniture, and accessories.

Inspect shipments for damage, defects, and accuracy against purchase orders.

Report discrepancies or issues to the management team promptly.

Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day.

Maintains all organizational cleanliness and recovery standards for the stockroom, salesfloor, and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store.

Assist in restocking shelves and displays as needed.

Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with questions and locating products.

Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures.

Previous retail experience preferred but not required.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Customer-focused with a positive attitude.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Basic math skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.

Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.

Bend, stoop, and reach to perform tasks.

Monday-Friday, and rotating weekends

Morning, day, evening, and night shifts
