Per Diem LPNs Needed- No Mandatory Nights, Weekends, or Holidays

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Rehabilitation setting, you'll play a crucial role in the recovery journey of patients. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs, implementing treatment plans and assisting with rehabilitation activities. Your responsibilities will include administering medication, monitoring patients' progress, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients undergoing rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

• Implements nursing interventions under RN supervision and updates care plans.

• Monitors patients' physical and psychosocial needs and adjusts care plans accordingly.

• Administers medications and performs venipuncture and IV therapy.

• Communicates and documents care provided to the healthcare team.

• Inserts, monitors, and maintains NG tubes, urinary caths, etc.

• Assists physicians with exams and dressing changes.

• Assists with discharge instructions for patients and families.

• Ensures a safe environment using Infection Control and safety policies.

• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations.

• Performs shift assessments and reports variations to RN.

• Gives and receives patient reports.

Qualifications:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Virginia or eligible compact state licensure.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Rehab or Medical-Surgical setting.

• BLS certification required

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and clinical priorities.
