About This Position
Clinical Resource Analyst, Materials Management
Position overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Resource Analyst to assist in the day-to-day functions and tasks of the health system. This will include, but is not limited to, Value Analysis and Clinical Supply Resource activities for clinical specialty supplies. The emphasis will be on general Nursing and Operating Room activities (This does not include day-to-day management of OR materials handling, inventory and supply related case management within the OR).
Key responsibilities:
- Research and source products.
- Provide cost information on products and contracts.
- Analyze product offerings using cost benefit metrics.
- Work closely with vendors to expedite samples needed for evaluations.
- Makes positive suggestions to other departments regarding new, improved and substitute items, or possible improvements in the design or specification of equipment.
- Assists system administration and management specialists in preparation of service contracts, bid procurement and quotation analysis.
- Assist with value analysis committee teams
- Analyze materials or product literature to continuously evaluate products, price trends, market conditions and vendor performance, as a basis for future purchasing decisions.
- Acts as a liaison between Materials Management and departments to introduce new and improved products.
- Assists with product trials systemwide
- Communicate with Clinical staff on conversions and other Value Analysis related activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Furthermore, this position will assist all management levels in determination and selection of vendors at bid openings and has the authority to issue purchase orders to qualified individuals in user departments.
This position reports to the Corporate Director of Value Analysis & Resource Management, with dotted line responsibility to the Corporate Director, Materials Management Operations.
Qualifications:
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Superior research skills
- Has attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
- Clinical terminology experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- License for nursing or related field
- 3 years of clinical experience
