About This Position
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading spare parts management, CMMS implementation, and offline maintenance support for SMT, API (Through-Hole), and wave soldering equipment. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, spare parts strategy, and tooling maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support efficient manufacturing operations. The position works closely with production, automation, quality, and procurement teams to maintain equipment availability and drive continuous improvement in maintenance performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Spare Parts and CMMS team, defining roles, KPIs, and training needs.
- Drive the selection, implementation, and rollout of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including requirements definition, data migration, configuration, workflows, and user training.
- Establish and maintain an optimized spare parts inventory strategy including critical spare lists, min/max levels, reorder points, vendor lead-time management, and cost control.
- Manage the offline support team responsible for repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of pallets, fixtures, feeders, and tooling used in SMT, API (Through-Hole), and wave soldering production lines.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures for production equipment and related tooling.
- Coordinate with Production, Automation, Quality, and Procurement teams to prioritize repairs, manage spare parts procurement, and minimize production downtime.
- Implement reliability-centered maintenance practices, including root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Track maintenance KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, preventive maintenance compliance, parts availability, and inventory turns, and report performance to the Site Engineering Manager.
- Manage maintenance budgets, capital expenditure requests for spare parts and tooling, and vendor relationships for repair and calibration services.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, documentation requirements, and site engineering procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing costs, and increasing operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6+ years of maintenance experience in electronics manufacturing, including responsibility for spare parts management and tooling or fixture maintenance.
- Direct experience implementing or managing CMMS systems, including system configuration, data governance, and user adoption.
- Hands-on familiarity with pallets, fixtures, and feeders used in SMT, Through-Hole (API), and wave soldering manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of spare parts inventory management including parts categorization, MRP or Kanban concepts, and vendor lead-time management.
- Proven leadership experience managing technicians and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience presenting operational metrics to leadership.
- Experience in power electronics or microinverter manufacturing environments.
- Certifications in maintenance reliability, such as CMRP, or Lean / Six Sigma certifications.
- Familiarity with MES or ERP system integration and manufacturing data systems.

This role is performed primarily on-site within a manufacturing facility and requires regular interaction with production equipment and maintenance teams on the shop floor. The position may require extended working hours during equipment installations, maintenance activities, or urgent operational issues.
