Security Administrator at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs duties in support of University Health and Information Services Information Asset Security policies. Provides identity and management support to end users through administration and maintenance of individual userids and passwords to promote individual accountability on all of UH' Information Systems. Implements appropriate security access to approved users utilizing role-based access methodology. Responds to security requests and manages incoming work to meet established deadlines. Supports information security procedures to safeguard against inadvertent disclosure of confidential data and unauthorized access to computing environments. Establishes efficient processes for provisioning and deprovisioning user accounts and implements role based access controls within a highly complex system infrastructure. Promotes the University Health guest relations policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Five or more years of experience in information technology is required. Three or more years of experience in information security is preferred. At least two years of Active Directory and application level security is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA is preferred.
